Q: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT THE ISLAND?The best time to visit is from April to September. Outside of this period you might need flexibility of schedules to travel as the sea can be rough at times. However, since we are in a tropical country, there is really not much difference in seasons throughout the year. Hence anytime is considered a good month to visit. Q: WHAT HAPPENS DURING POOR SEA CONDITION?Our guests’ safety and comfort are our TOP priorities. Tours will be cancelled at times to abide to our Safe Operation Policies. We monitor the weather closely and will update the guests based on weather report received prior to departure. Q: WHAT HAPPEN IF MY TRIP IS CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER?In the event that the trip is cancelled by us due to factors that are beyond our control such as weather or sea condition, we will refund in full the tour fees after deducting any finance charges that may have been incurred. We however refuse liability for any damages, inconveniences or costs that may have been incurred as a result of the cancellation. Q: WHAT HAPPEN IF I CANNOT MAKE THE TRIP?Kindly note our cancellation policy as follow: 30 days or more (55% of tour cost) Q:IS THERE A REFUND POLICY?There would be no refunds for cancellation after the tour has commenced or for any unused tour services including but not limited to transfer, meals & accommodation, sightseeing or any other services not utilized. Q: ARE TOWEL AND OTHER PERSONAL TOILETRIES PROVIDED?No, these items are not provided. Q: WHAT PRECAUTION SHOULD I TAKE AGAINST MOSQUITOES OR OTHER INSECT?You are in the natural surroundings of the island so it is advisable to bring along insect repellents. Mosquitoes are most active at dusk and dawn, so it’s best to stay away from dark and humid areas at these times. Mosquitoes net may be provided upon request. Q: IS THERE ANYTHING THAT I SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR WHILE WALKING ON THE BEACH?The island is endowed with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water that you will enjoy wading in. It is however also the natural habitat of rays and urchins who might not like to be surprised. So please tread lightly and have your flip-flops on if possible. Q: WHAT ARE THE SCHEDULES FOR THE LAND AND BOAT TRANSFER?We have only one schedule for each transfer sector. Please refer to the different lodges. * These schedules are based on estimated time only and are subject to changes. Factors that can affect the schedules are traffic, sea and weather conditions. Ample allowances are advised if you have confirmed onward travel arrangement. Private charter and transfer outside regular schedules may be arranged subject to charges and availability. Q: HOW CAN I PAY MY BILLS ON THE ISLAND?You can pay by cash on the island. We accept Malaysian Ringgit currency notes only. Q: CAN WE PURCHASE ALCHOHOL AT THE ISLAND OR BRING OUR OWN ALCHOHOL TO THE ISLAND?No, you may not bring your own alcohol but Yes, you may purchase at the shop in the island at RM6/can. The journey to the shop will take about take 15 to 20 minutes stroll from the day activity lodge or depending on your location. Should you experience any sickness, we will not be responsible. Q: DO YOU HAVE WATER SPORT AT THE ISLAND?Yes, we do organize water sports such as Banana boat, Kayaking, Jetski, etc. at the island. It is upon request and subject to the weather condition. You may book directly at the island. Q: HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE FOR EACH SNORKELING/DIVING SESSION?Each session will take 40-50 minutes. Subject to weather condition. Should there be extreme weather occurred, the 2nd session of snorkeling will be cancelled as you will need depart to the mainland immediately. Q: THERE ARE 3 ISLANDS ON MANTANANI. WHICH ISLAND WILL WE BE AT?Day Trip Activities Lodge, Mari Mari Backpackers Lodge and Bembaran Beach Resort are all located at Mantananai Besar. Q: CAN WE BRING OUR OWN DIVING/SNORKELLING EQUIPMENT?Yes. You may bring your own equipment for your own comfort. Though price will remain the same. Q: WHEN WE DEPART TO THE ACTIVITY SESSION, WHERE WILL WE LEAVE OUR STUFF? DO YOU PROVIDE ANY LOCKER AT THE ISLAND?We do not provide any locker at the island. You may leave your stuff at the island hut and it will be supervised by the guide. |
